Pipkin's Worry

Meet Pipkin, a little field mouse with a big problem: he was afraid of… everything! The shadows, the rustling leaves, even his own squeak! He lived with his mama, Willow, in a cozy burrow under the old oak tree. *Can you show me how Pipkin looks when he’s scared? Make a worried face!*

The Missing Berries

One sunny morning, Willow asked Pipkin to collect berries for breakfast. “They’re near the Whispering Waterfall,” she said. Pipkin’s whiskers trembled. The Whispering Waterfall felt very far away, and…loud! He’d never been that far alone. “But Mama… what if…?”

A Tiny Decision

Willow smiled gently. “Pipkin, sometimes the bravest thing isn't *not* being scared, but doing something *even when* you are scared. Think of the yummy berry pie we can make!” Pipkin took a deep breath. He looked at his empty basket. He had a decision to make. *Do you think Pipkin should go?*

The Path Begins

Pipkin scurried along the path, his little heart thumping like a drum. Every shadow looked like a monster, and every twig snap made him jump. He wanted to turn back, but remembered the berry pie. He took another deep breath and kept going.

Meeting Celeste

Suddenly, he bumped into Celeste, a glow-worm! Celeste was struggling to light up her little lantern. “Oh dear,” she sighed, “my light is flickering! I need a rare moonpetal to make it bright, but they only grow *behind* the waterfall!”

A Brave Offer

Pipkin hesitated. Behind the waterfall? That sounded terrifying! But Celeste looked so sad. He remembered what his mama said about being brave. “I… I could try to get you a moonpetal!” he squeaked, surprising even himself. *Wow, Pipkin is being very brave! Give yourself a cheer!*

Behind the Waterfall

With Celeste guiding his way, Pipkin bravely crept behind the cascading water. It was dark and misty, but there, glowing softly, were the moonpetals! He quickly gathered one and returned to Celeste.

Celeste's Gratitude

Celeste’s lantern glowed brighter than ever. “Thank you, Pipkin! You are the bravest mouse I know!” Celeste’s beautiful light illuminated Pipkin’s way back home. He didn't feel scared anymore – he felt proud!

Berry Bounty and a Lesson Learned

Pipkin collected his berries, feeling much more confident. He and Willow made the most delicious berry pie! Pipkin learned that being brave isn’t about not being afraid, it's about helping others and doing what’s right, even when you're scared. *What’s one brave thing *you* can do today?*
